Phillip Harris is an accomplished music and vocal director with extensive experience in musical theatre, working with professional, community, and educational organizations throughout the Bay Area. His work spans a wide range of styles and productions—from classic Broadway repertoire and contemporary musicals to youth and family productions—bringing together strong musical leadership, vocal coaching, and a collaborative approach to storytelling.

His music and vocal directing credits include Camelot with Mountain Play; Legally Blonde, Fiddler on the Roof, Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure, and Annie Jr. with Head-Royce School; Little Shop of Horrors, Shrek, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame with Korsa Musical Theater; The Addams Family, A Chorus Line, Bring It On: The Musical, and Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure with MoonSchool at 42nd Street Moon; Matilda Jr. and Legally Blonde Jr. with Convent & Stuart Hall; Little Shop of Horrors with Chanticleers Theatre and Menlo School; Peter and the Starcatcher with Menlo School; and Head Over Heels with The Nueva School.

Recent and upcoming projects include music directing Les Misérables: School Edition with Tomorrow Youth Repertory, vocal directing The Pigeon Gets a Big Time Holiday Extravaganza! with PLAY Theatre, and music directing Cinderella Youth Edition at Convent & Stuart Hall.

Beyond musical theatre, Phillip brings extensive experience as a church musician, music director, keyboardist, and soloist. He has served congregations throughout California, Nevada, and Michigan, with musical leadership appointments at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in Long Beach, Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. in Irvine, Reigning Life Fellowship in Long Beach, First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor, Greater El Bethel Baptist Church in Richmond, Holy Trinity A.M.E. in Las Vegas, Beth Eden Baptist Church in Oakland, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oakland, Beebe Memorial Cathedral C.M.E. in Oakland, and Downs Memorial United Methodist Church in Oakland.
